So it has been about 7 or 8 months since I've uploaded anything new and I though I'd explain why.

This year was my first year of university and I, foolishly, though I could both do all my schoolwork and art/lits for DA. I was wrong oh so very wrong. I don't think I've ever had to work so hard for so long >.<. On top of schoolwork I was also balancing my job which left very little in the way of free time. I was lucky to get an hour of free time every 5 days. Don't get me worng, I love being at university. Studying what I want to is a great feeling.

Just when I though it was over, shit hit the fan. My grandmother, who had been sick for some months prior, passed away during my finals. I deferred half of my finals and rushed to her funeral. When I got back from that my work decided to bump up my hours to 40 a week, which left me constantly exhausted and only two days off. Due to the deferral I had to spend these two days studying.

But yesterday, I finished writing them and my first year is officially over and things look like their finally looking up. I haven't forgetton DA. I will be uploading stuff again soon, hopefully. Crossing my fingers that work eases off on the hours a bit.

*Minor Spoilers for Halo: Glasslands ahead*

So I just finished reading the latest Halo book, Halo: Glasslands,  (which was fan-freaking-tastic by the way, go read it NOW!!!!!) and it just occured to me that the Spartan-II program and Spartan-III program are actually representative of the Nature vs. Nurture debate that is currently going on. Dr. Halsey ran the Spartan-II project and chose her Spartans based purely on their genetics, whereas CPO Mendez accepted anybody into the Spartan-III project so long as they were motivated to kill the Covenant. Halsey is nature, Mendez is nurture. While trapped in the Dyson Sphere on, what was formerly, Onyx the two constantly argue over who was most wrong. Was it Halsey for flash cloning children and giving them back to their parents to die a few years later? Or was it Mendez for starting another Spartan program after the first one that uses children as suicide troopers? Either way, the two programs stand as polar opposites and now I'm resonably certain that Mendez and Halsey will never be able to reconcile.

In Other News: My personal life is shit at the moment. Loads of family drama plus I have two major essays due next week, so I'm pretty much swamped with work. Anyways, just checking in so I better get back to work.
